Mrs. Marchese

Welcome to room 209! My name is Amanda Marchese and this is my 17th year teaching third grade at Mendon Elementary. Before teaching at Mendon, I was a special education teacher for two years for an autistic support classroom.  I was also a behavioral specialist consultant for two local agencies.  I have been married for thirteen years and we currently live in Hempfield Township.  My husband and I have a twelve year-old son named Nico and a nine year-old daughter named Mila.  We have a dog who just turned three years old!  I love being with my family!

Third grade is an adjustment for students and I will do my very best to help your child adjust to the changes.  Please know that I will do my very best at keeping your child safe, happy, and learning new and fun things!  Please be patient while we work some things out the first few weeks of school, as this is an ever changing educational environment.   However, I am excited about this year and all the memories I will make with your child.

This year we will be switching for classes.  I will be teaching math, science, and social studies to your child.   Ms. Coppula will be teaching reading, grammar, and spelling to your child. Please check my website for homework and announcements each day.

Please make me aware of any problems, questions, or comments you may have throughout the year. You can contact me at any time via email (marchesea@youghsd.net), Remind101, or by phone (724-872-6484 ext. 4047).  I strongly believe in communicating with parents and therefore welcome any comments or concerns.  You will find a sheet to sign up for Remind 10IRemind 101 is a fantastic way to message with a question or a concern.  I will also send pictures frequently.   Thank you!!!
