Career Awareness Initiative

The Yough School District is kicking off the 2016-17 school year with it's Career Awareness Initiative.  Part of the initiative is to bring awareness to the top Soft Skills employers look for in their employees.  What better way to prepare the future work force by introducing & reinforcing Soft Skills while they're in school?

The Soft Skill for the Month of September:  Etiquette in the Workplace.

  • Stand straight, make eye contact, turn towards people when they are speaking, and genuinely smile at people.
  • Be alert. Sleepiness looks bad in the workplace.
  • Follow your employer/school dress code, perhaps dressing a step above the norm for your job/school.
  • Kindness and courtesy count!
