Career Awareness Initiative

The Yough School District is kicking off the 2016-17 school year with it's Career Awareness Initiative.  Part of the initiative is to bring awareness to the top Soft Skills employers look for in their employees.  What better way to prepare the future work force by introducing & reinforcing Soft Skills while they're in school?

The Soft Skill for the Month of February: Problem Solving

Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking:  refers to the ability to use knowledge, facts, and data to effectively solve problems.

This doesn’t mean you need to have an immediate answer, it means you have to be able to think on your feet, assess problems and find solutions. The ability to develop a well thought out solution within a reasonable time frame, however, is a highly valued skill.
